the boost only comes into play if you do a contains on that property.

I.e. you need to run the following query:

SELECT * FROM nt:resource WHERE CONTAINS(., 'test') OR
CONTAINS(jcr:title, 'test') OR CONTAINS(jcr:keywords, 'test') ORDER BY
jcr:score ASC

and probably sort DESC ;)

higher score values mean better match.
