Hi Sean,

fn:true() and fn:false() will work.

the XPath query parse is too tolerant in may cases and should actually throw an 
exception when the query is invalid. see also: 
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JCR-522

the jcr:uuid and (false) is one of those cases.
