That's two, I have strong experience with the Slide WebDAV client, having
used it on several other projects but I too am new to JackRabbit.

We need a volunteer from the JackRabbit team and perhaps a volunteer from
the Commons before we can make a proposal.

This would indeed be desirable. There's a working generic client
library to almost everything out there - except for webdav. :(

I do have a limited amount of time to offer along with some fundamental
skills related to Java and apache commons yet next to none experience
with the jackrabbit codebase, for whatever it's worth...
