you could either

- pass arbitrary parameters to your access manager by adding e.g.

            <param name="config" value="${rep.home}/access.xml"/>

   to the <AccessManager/> element in the repository config.

- subclass RepositoryImpl and SessionImpl and override
   RepositoryImpl#createSessionInstance() and
