there's already a built-in node type nt:resource that you can use:

[nt:resource] > mix:referenceable
  - jcr:encoding (string)
  - jcr:mimeType (string) mandatory
  - jcr:data (binary) primary mandatory
  - jcr:lastModified (date) mandatory ignore
