Your child node definition is for a node named "cm:myApp", which is
why you get the "no definition found" when you try to add a node named
"myNewApNode". I think you are looking for a residual child node
definition, i.e. one that allows the node to have any name:

    [cm:myAppContainer] > nt:base,mix:referenceable,mix:versionable
    + * (cm:myApp) = cm:myApp multiple version
