Subject [jira] [Commented] (OAK-8261) Indexing lane failing but the index is not marked corrupt
Date Tue, 23 Apr 2019 08:41:00 GMT

Mohit Kataria commented on OAK-8261:

The bug is because we are catching IOexception and then throwing RuntimeException [1]. As
we are not handling runtime exception in methods above in hierarchy which leads to bypassing
code which marks index as corrupt[2].

Added a catch block to handle this exception.

> Indexing lane failing but the index is not marked corrupt
> ---------------------------------------------------------
> Key: OAK-8261
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OAK-8261
> Project: Jackrabbit Oak
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: indexing
> Reporter: Mohit Kataria
> Priority: Minor
> Steps to reproduce issue:
> Delete blob filesystem(in case of tarmk) from repository/datastore and empty repository/index
> Now asyncIndexUpdate will run periodically and fail but index won't get marked as corrupt.
