No. Only the modified content (plus the mentioned overhead) gets added
on each commit. For example, if you modify 10kB worth of content 10
times in a row (for example by editing a large string property),
you'll see the repository grow by a bit more than 100kB in size,
regardless of the total size of the repository. The replaced content
(and the extra overhead) will get garbage collected over time, so the
size increase is just temporary.
