Subject [PATCH] Cancelling Jackrabbit query execution.
Date Thu, 21 Mar 2013 12:01:42 GMT
I have a patch related to cancelling Jackrabbit JCR query execution (see [1] and [2] for related
discussion) . This allows to cancel executing queries in one thread by issuing cancel request
from another - for example timer if query timeout is what is desired (the patch indeed goes
a step ahead to provide for cancellation support via JMX interface).
In summary the implementation works by internally stopping iteration over query hits and/or
underlying index reader iterators by artificially inducing EOF, therefore allowing "soft"
termination. Kindly review.
