Removing jcr-1.0.jar from WEB-INF/lib is correct.

You get this:

cannot be cast to org.apache.jackrabbit.core.RepositoryImpl

Because BindableRepository can't be cast to RepositoryImpl (see
http://jackrabbit.apache.org/api/1.3/org/apache/jackrabbit/core/jndi/BindableRepository.html).
But the code you pasted doesn't show a cast to RepositoryImpl. Where is that
happening and why?
