hi

issue JCR-1877 [1] asks for putting SPI2DAV et al into
regular release cycles.

inititally i hoped to have some time to take a closer look
at a couple of open TODOs before promoting the code. but
i don't get along....

so, i'd like to go ahead with the promotion, rather than forcing
users to create pseudo-releases of the affected modules and
snapshot dependencies on their own.

i started to open JIRA issues for open tasks and known 
issues/enhancements that i am aware of [2].

any concerns or objections?

btw: JCR-1695 is a similar request for the spi-logger utility.
      as far as i know, michael duerig will take care of this.
