Subject Re: JSR 283 Access Control and Jackrabbit 1.5 release
Date Tue, 10 Jun 2008 16:24:19 GMT
Sorry about the email misfire email should have read....

Hey all,
I was curious about the state of the new JSR 283 access control API
and whether or not a form of it was guaranteed to be included in the
1.5 release? I know that it is currently in flux while it is working
through issues such as issue 505[1], 508[2], and 509[3]. I would like
to make use of it for a project I am currently working on and can wait
for the 1.5 release. It would be acceptable to use the provisional
API in the jsr283.* packages and refactor later. I understand the
full functionality of JSR 283 isn't expected to till the 2.0 release
of Jackrabbit but my timeline makes waiting for 2.0 not an option. I
was just wondering with the JSR still in flux if the access control
changes would hold up the release of 1.5 or if they might be removed
from the release.

Thanks for your help and great work,
