I looked at the jackrabbit code now, and it seems like the only other class you need to change
is org.apache.jackrabbit.core.query.lucene.FileBasedNamespaceMappings.java, right? I havent
created a patch, but you have to change the load and store methods. If the namespace prefix
is empty, you need to substitute it with some string value for the empty ns string during
load/store.
