fn:upper accepted in too many places

                 Key: JCR-983
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JCR-983
             Project: Jackrabbit
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: query
            Reporter: Julian Reschke
            Priority: Minor

It seems that the query parser accepts fn:upper in some places where it shouldn't.

For instance, the parse trees for

  //*[@x = fn:upper-case(Y')]

  //*[ fn:upper-case(@x) ='Y']

are the same.
