Paco Avila commented on JCR-478:

But get the System Session would simplify a lot this work. The best way would be implemente
a standar AccessManager with user and roles. I'm writing my own AccessManager for my project.
When it is finished I can send it to the list.
> Improve ability to access item in the AccessManager context.

> The current AccessManager environment does not offer an easy way to access the items
of the repository. This is usually desired, if the ACLs themself are stored in the repository.
> suggest to pass somehow the item state manager, system session, or some other context
that gives access to lowlevel items.
