as a first step i would suggest to avoid parsing the request body, if the headers indicates
a contentlength of 0.
other than the original solution suggested by brian a contentlength of -1 (meaning: contentlength
is not available for whatever reason) would still get parsed.

this would at least circumvent the parse failure if the contentlength is set to 0 (e.g. http1.0
PROPFIND request for all properties where it is legal to omit the request body).
