Support other than equality comparisons for the XPath position() function
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

         Key: JCR-269
         URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JCR-269
     Project: Jackrabbit
        Type: Improvement
  Components: xpath
    Reporter: Jukka Zitting
    Priority: Minor

Currently only the equality comparison can be used with the XPath position() function, making
queries like "//name[position()=1]" (select the first node with the given name) possible but
not queries like "//name[position()<=10]" (select first ten nodes with the given name).
Supporting other comparison operators would be a nice addition for some use cases.
