hi michi,

i think there is a difference between syndicating defined 
content (at the end of a workflow) to subscribers (which i
think is what a cms should do) and synchronizing 
two repositories.

when it comes to synchronizing repositories, i think there
are some very interesting options for repositories.
for example a repository could expose an md5 as a 
property that displays the hashcode of all the properties 
and "childnodes' hashcodes". 

this would allow for a very network and cpu efficient 
synchronization of two repositories.
