Clebert Suconic commented on INFRA-19235:
-----------------------------------------

[~humbedooh] is there a problem on changing branches?

I would like to use this now on the asf-site, but as soon as everything is settled, i would
move everything to a single branch to be named master.

I would like to do the following:

on the current branch asf-site, I will add the following ".asf.yaml"

publish:
   whoami: asf-site

and on the test branch:

staging:
  profile: test
  whoami: test

> Change ActiveMQ website to use a single branch.

> We are maintaining the activemq website here:
> which is of course mirrored at:
> Web have been using two branches here, on master with the source files, and another branch
called asf-site that contains just the output.
> We would like to change it to use a single branch, with both source and output on the
same branch, as it's a bit cumbersome to maintain both branches.
> I have created a branch named new-master.
> Is it possible to change new-master as master and change all the scripts on the website
to look at master/content to update the website.
> At that point the asf-site branch could be gone.
