-------------------------------------------------------------

Hi, it seems the github mirror:
https://github.com/apache/groovy/commits/master
has fallen behind the gitbox repo:
https://gitbox.apache.org/repos/asf?p=groovy.git;a=shortlog

When doing a push to gitbox, the push is successful but there is a warning related to the
sync step I believe:

remote: error: failed to push some refs to 'git@github:apache/groovy.git'
remote: hint: Updates were rejected because the remote contains work that you do
remote: hint: not have locally. This is usually caused by another repository pushing
remote: hint: to the same ref. You may want to first integrate the remote changes
remote: hint: (e.g., 'git pull ...') before pushing again.
remote: hint: See the 'Note about fast-forwards' in 'git push --help' for details.
remote: Syncing refs/heads/master...
remote: Error: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'decode'
remote: Sending notification emails to: ['"commits@groovy.apache.org" <commits@groovy.apache.org>']
remote: Error running hook: /x1/gitbox/hooks/post-receive.d/01-sync-repo.py

The pull doesn't seem relevant since it just says already up to date when following that suggestion.

Following google/stackoverflow suggestions seems to indicate that perhaps some commit is slightly
corrupted and some piece of metadata is blank when not expected to by the py script. The suggestion
in those searches for the cases in question is to change the suspect line in a possibly similar
python script from something like:

'label': repo_dict['description']

to:

'label': repo_dict['description'] or ""

The above assumes that the 'description' metadata is missing. I am not 100% sure that is correct
in this case but just offer this as what I have read so far.
