Subject [jira] [Commented] (INFRA-18740) Enable lists to moderate all posts except from moderators
Date Mon, 22 Jul 2019 11:22:00 GMT

Gavin commented on INFRA-18740:

[~sebb] yep all true, however, this would be an opt in and not enabled for all.
And we have considered and discounted adding the gazzillion .qmail files to version control.

sendsubscribertomod sends emails from a specific list of individuals to moderation.
> The request is for a new feature: send emails from all posters EXCEPT those from moderators
to moderation. Without looking at the code for sendsubscribertomod, it seems like it should
be the same code, just with a different (and existing!) list of emails to check against, and
with an "if" check reversed (all except instead of only these).
> I don't know how to prioritize this request. Nobody has asked for it yet. My fear is
that if/when it is asked for, somebody will need to be pulled off of other tasks, and the
context of the request will be that it would be useful if this feature were provided yesterday.
> One final note: as many people have multiple email addresses (example:,,
and personal, like I do) if this function is ever deployed it may be necessary to add known
emails for moderators to the moderator list.
