Subject [jira] [Updated] (INFRA-18707) Netlify GitHub integration for Apache Celix
Date Sun, 07 Jul 2019 18:13:00 GMT

Roy Lenferink updated INFRA-18707:
----------------------------------
    Description:
Netlify is a service which is very good at generating website previews for created pull requests.
That is what would be useful for Celix as well.

Kubernetes uses this for both hosting their website and generating the deploy previews, e.g.:
https://github.com/kubernetes/website/pull/15231#issuecomment-507430708. Celix will use the
deployment previews for previewing changes in pull requests and keep serving the main celix.apache.org
site as we are doing right now.

Netlify has an open source plan which Celix would qualify for as well. This means we don't
have a single point of failure anymore (free plan offers 1 team member), whereas the open
source plan offers the same benefits as the pro plan, with the addition of free unlimited
team members.

I have just requested the Netlify integration on the celix-site repo (requested from GitHub
account rlenferink).
