Subject [jira] [Commented] (INFRA-18697) Request to be added to the Apple Developer Program
Date Mon, 08 Jul 2019 17:03:00 GMT

Mark Thomas commented on INFRA-18697:

There is a fairly low limit on the number of keys we can have. You'll need to copy the key
and cert to all the machines where you want to use it. I suggest you use "Apache Directory
Server PMC" as the CN for now.

If we hit the key limit then the first step will be to share keys within a PMC. If we still
have issues we'll need to start thinking creatively. I recognise that this isn't ideal but
these are the restrictions that Apple have placed on us.

> Background: The Directory project wants to codesign the convenience binary of Apache
Directory Server for macOS (DMG installer) because many users complain that macOS doesn't
open (by default) if not signed.
