Subject [jira] [Updated] (INFRA-18695) Unable to reply to a mailing thread
Date Tue, 02 Jul 2019 18:07:00 GMT

     [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-18695?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:all-tabpanel
]

Chris Lambertus updated INFRA-18695:
------------------------------------
    Status: Waiting for user (was: Waiting for Infra)

These are being quarantined as spam for several main reasons:

1) The subject contains the word "replica" which is common in fake timepiece spam.

2) The message is HTML

3) The message is flagged for short lines:

* 1.0 SCC_10_SHORT_WORD_LINES 10 lines with many short words
* 1.0 SCC_5_SHORT_WORD_LINES 5 lines with many short words
* 1.0 SCC_20_SHORT_WORD_LINES 20 lines with many short words

Any one of these things is not enough to set off the filter, but the combination of all three
exceeds the drop threshold for spam:

X-Spam-Status: Yes, score=7.801

If you sent the same mail as plain text, it should go through, since HTML only messages are
rated fairly high on the spam score.
