Subject [jira] [Created] (INFRA-18615) Jenkins workspace broken due to permissions issue
Date Sat, 15 Jun 2019 12:11:00 GMT
Francis Chuang created INFRA-18615:
--------------------------------------

Summary: Jenkins workspace broken due to permissions issue
                 Key: INFRA-18615
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-18615
             Project: Infrastructure
          Issue Type: Task
          Components: Jenkins
            Reporter: Francis Chuang

The job in question is Calcite-Site.

I was using docker-compose to build some javadocs on jenkins. Unfortunately, I think docker-compose
used the root user (because I didn't pass in the -u flag to set the user). This result in
the generated files being owned by root.

This result in the job failing every time it starts as we use the `Wipe out repository and
force clone` step due to the aforementioned permissions issue.

I attempted to remedy this by adding an initial step to `rm -rf` and `sudo rm -rf *`, but
the permission was denied (as it should be).

Can someone from infra please delete everything in the workspace for the Calcite-Site job?
My apologies for causing the workspace to be in an inoperable state.
