Subject [jira] [Commented] (INFRA-18383) LF EOL characters appear on Windows Jenkins machines

Chris Lambertus commented on INFRA-18383:
-----------------------------------------

I see.

The default git config contains

[core]
  symlinks = false
  autocrlf = true
  fscache = true
  longpaths = true

It may be the autocrlf that is causing the issue you're reporting, however, I am not sure
what changing this setting would do to the other projects which use the Windows build nodes.
[~christ] any thoughts here?

> We found one issue on Windows Jenkins machine. Most probably the EOL is LF and not CRLF.
I do not know if Windows OS or Jenkins plugins set EOL this way but one of these is doing
it. It is important to have CRLF, otherwise the testing is not real and then the customer
will find the issues much later. Can you guys in INFRA check it? Thx
