Mark Thomas commented on INFRA-18336:
-------------------------------------

Not sure why you are asking me. Trademarks? I thought release policy was under legal. Anyway,
it looks better to me. It did tweak the wording a little further to try and further reduce
any ambiguity.

> Ambiguous docs on repository.a.o
> --------------------------------
>
> Key: INFRA-18336
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-18336
> Project: Infrastructure
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: maven, Nexus

> Priority: Major
>
> The page [1] says:
> "Infrastructure operates an Apache Maven repository manager at repository.apache.org.
Projects MAY use the repository system as a downstream channel to redistribute released materials..."
> Some projects have taken this to mean that URLs pointing to repository.a.o can be used
for download pages and announce e-mails.
> However the word from Infra [2] is that this is not the case.
> The page needs to be clarified: who is responsible for the page?
