Subject [jira] [Created] (INFRA-18202) Apply for VMs for long-term test of IoTDB
Date Fri, 12 Apr 2019 07:07:00 GMT
xiangdong Huang created INFRA-18202:
---------------------------------------

Summary: Apply for VMs for long-term test of IoTDB
                 Key: INFRA-18202
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-18202
             Project: Infrastructure
          Issue Type: Wish
          Components: VM
            Reporter: xiangdong Huang

Hi, as IoTDB is a database system, it is important to guarantee the system is stable for a
long time running.

Therefore, we'd like to apply a VM to deploy the IoTDB instance (when the master branch is
updated) and uses a benchmark tool to read and write data from/into the IoTDB instance. (Therefore,
it if better if we have two VMs, one is for IoTDB server, and the other one is for benchmark
tool as clients).

If possible, we hope the VM (at least the IoTDB server VM) has:
 - 16GB memory (or larger)
 - large disk (>=200 GB is better)
 - there is no limit about the CPU cores (because the VM is for guarantee the stability of
IoTDB, rather than a performance test).
