Subject [jira] [Commented] (INFRA-17931) Automated GitBox email notification reports crazy numbers
Date Tue, 30 Apr 2019 20:54:00 GMT

Daniel Gruno commented on INFRA-17931:

they result in a merge of code that wasn't there before, but rather in a fork, and is silently
moved into the repository without a notification, that is what trips up the system AIUI. It's
a non-native approach that causes standard git to think the code was already in the repository,
and therefor no diff is made or weird numbers are generated.

We are working with github towards a possible solution, but I have no ETA on that yet.

that I committed over 9000 entirely new revisions/commits to the accumulo repository:

was the correct number that I pushed. Clearly, this bot is having trouble counting, if it
thinks there are 9854 new revisions.
