Subject [jira] [Commented] (INFRA-17938) Give Apache POI PMC members access to XMLBeans JIRA project
Date Sat, 02 Mar 2019 13:01:00 GMT

Gavin commented on INFRA-17938:
-------------------------------

added two of those three. As mentioned, Jira is Not yet LDAP aware, so providing commit ids
is not really much good unless they also match the Jira id that they created. 'centic' is
not a jira id so unable to add that one. However the other two now have admin perms to add
anyone else in.

> -----------------------------------------------------------
>
> Key: INFRA-17938
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-17938
> Project: Infrastructure
> Issue Type: Wish
> Components: JIRA
> Reporter: Dominik Stadler
> Assignee: Gavin
> Priority: Critical
>
> Apache POI has resurrected XMLBeans from the attic and taken over ongoing maintenance
and feature development of this project as a sub-project of Apache POI, see e.g. https://whimsy.apache.org/board/agenda/2019-02-20/POI
for the regular board reports for both projects.
> Therefore PMC members of Apache POI should have proper access rights on the XMLBeans
JIRA project to be able to handle issues, but this seems to be missing.
> Can we assign proper JIRA project permissions to the Apache POI PMC members overall based
on some LDAP group? Or do we need to list them specifically and re-add anybody joining the
PMC in the future?
