Subject [jira] [Commented] (INFRA-17860) Enable MATLAB testing in Travis CI
Date Fri, 15 Feb 2019 19:41:00 GMT

Wes McKinney commented on INFRA-17860:

Since all ASF projects use the same pool of Travis CI workers, ideally this would be set up
a single time for all Apache projects, so if a different ASF project wants to use the MATLAB
CI it won't require additional labor from INFRA

> MathWorks has an ongoing pilot for running MATLAB jobs in Travis CI. We'd like to have
Apache Arrow participate in the pilot so that we can qualify the MATLAB code already in the
Arrow project. The integration is free but would require agreement to MathWorks license agreements
[1] [2]. As far as the technical process, our team would contribute the initial setup [3]
and we've already qualified the process on the mathworks fork [4]. We'd also be committing
to any future maintenance to keep the MATLAB jobs running.
