> There is a repository on Docker Hub called apache/thrift:
> It's pretty much derelict. I do not have access to it, but I am on the thrift PMC.
I would like to update it so that it can provide thrift compiler docker containers. This
means I would create different jobs on it to build this container from a Dockerfile we would
check in. There is currently a "Docker Official Images" of thrift here:
> But it is not official nor does it have any involvement with the Apache Thrift team currently,
so I'd like to change that by ensuring that "docker pull apache/thrift:<version>" gives
linux users a thrift compiler of a specific version. It's only official as far as I can tell
because it is managed by the docker folks I believe.
