Subject [jira] [Commented] (INFRA-17715) Confluence username change is required to be the same as LDAP username
Date Tue, 22 Jan 2019 12:31:00 GMT

Gavin commented on INFRA-17715:

ok, a few scenarios here, and looks like you may have missed the right combinations.
First off, the current live cwiki is not yet LDAP enabled, nor is jira, only cwiki-test is
LDAP enabled currently.

1. Use your renamed user 'orudyy' in both cwiki and jira with your current non-ldap password
as usual.
2. cwiki-test - becuase you created an account upon first LDAP login there before your user
was renamed, you now have 2 accounts in cwiki-test, and the data associated with your usual
account did not transfer to your ldap account because of this. This is not a concern as when
I do another rebuild of cwiki-test, this will be fixed. I'll let you know when I do this.

3. In the meantime, I have an experiment for you to test for me. I have used an alias to map
your 'old' cwiki username to the ldap account. Please try and log in to cwiki-test using your
old username and password and let me know what happens there - this is just a test for my
experiments and is not permanent.

Please test 1,2 and 3 above and let me know what happens.

Thanks for being a tester!

> Hi,
> As per email about migration of confluence accounts to LDAP I would like to request to
change my confluence wiki username "alex.rufous" to my Apache username 'orudyy'. The former
account (alex.rufous) is also used in JIRA. I am not sure whether it is a different account
or the same one used in confluence wiki. If JIRA account is different, please, change my JIRA
account "alex.rufous" to my Apache username 'orudyy' as well.
