Subject [jira] [Updated] (INFRA-17444) Install `Pipeline: GitHub` plugin
Date Fri, 04 Jan 2019 10:33:00 GMT

Zoran Regvart updated INFRA-17444:
----------------------------------
Status: Waiting for Infra (was: Closed)

I don't think this plugin is installed if it was `pullRequest` global variable would be available
in the pipeline build. Here are builds that fail:

https://builds.apache.org/view/C/view/Apache%20Camel/job/zregvart.test/1/console (scripted
pipeline)

https://builds.apache.org/view/C/view/Apache%20Camel/job/zregvart.test/2/console (declarative
pipeline)

I think you might be confusing this with GitHub plugin that adds multibranch support. That's
an easy mistake to make they are all named the same. This is a plugin pipeline library that
adds a number of global variables and helper functions to access GitHub API.

Can be installed without Jenkins restart.

> I'd like to utilize the `Pipeline: GitHub`[1] Jenkins plug-in for manipulating commit
status of pull requests. It's easier to do it via this plug-in then by invoke curl commands
by hand. This is my first use case, I might want to also use it to add comments or modify
labels of pull requests.
