Subject [jira] [Commented] (INFRA-17519) The old asf thrift git redirection is no longer valid?
Date Mon, 31 Dec 2018 21:54:00 GMT

James E. King III commented on INFRA-17519:

This is a bunch of work nobody was planning to have to do. The removal of the ASF git forwarding
has broken all old package references from third party package managers, and also broken the
Apache Thrift project's ability to update the web site, therefore we will
be unable to officially complete the release of our 0.12.0 release which the security team
is demanding.

I'm not sure where this leaves us, but not in the best place. With a board meeting coming
January 16, we're not going to be in good shape.
