Myrle Krantz commented on INFRA-17219:

It's possible, but I still should have gotten it, since I am a moderator for that list. I
do think detecting those occurrences is a good idea though.

I've tried twice now to subscribe to operations, and still haven't been moderated in. But
that's an entirely different topic.

> We recently invited someone to join our PMC. She sent an acceptance response which I
never saw: https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/d916bf5b79608f7f9efc3aae0ab803fde58eee0ae6f17e9c1a71a4b0@%3Cprivate.fineract.apache.org%3E
> I'm not sure why this response didn't reach my inbox, but the reason I didn't see it
when searching the archives of the private list was that it was dated in 2017.
> I'm guessing the initial error came from the mail client of the sender. But this shouldn't
"trick" the mailing list the way it seems to have.
> I'm guessing this is a high-effort fix for a low-frequency bug. Possibly in ezmail,
possibly in ponymail, possibly in the client, and possibly in all three together. Feel free
to close as "Won't fix" if that is the case.
