Myrle Krantz commented on INFRA-17176:
--------------------------------------

The Fineract team would like to take your recommendation [~gmcdonald]. (https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/0c4e8364fac236244a215e0e368b7fb98e70f234719accbf7305e129@%3Cdev.fineract.apache.org%3E)

We'd like to close the user list. Keep its archive separate. Don't merge the subscriber
list to dev. Bounce messages to user with a message describing the new place to send questions.

Thank you!

> The Fineract community has come to the consensus that they want user and dev lists merged
into one.
> What are the consequences?
> * Are the subscribers to user, then subscribed to dev instead?
> * Are mails sent to user forward to to dev?
> * Is there a "side-effect" we should be aware of that I haven't thought of yet?
> Once I have the answers to these questions, I'll make sure this is what the community
actually wants, and then move this ticket forward to, presumably, request the actual change.
