Subject [jira] [Commented] (INFRA-16728) Jenkins build node with Snapcraft
Date Mon, 06 Aug 2018 02:11:00 GMT

Laszlo Kishalmi commented on INFRA-16728:

Well 16.04 is totally fine. I've just did a quick check on a base install of 16.04 image in
lxd. On top of snapcraft we need the following packages installed:
- openjdk-8-jdk-headless
- ant

Total list of packages (just for the records):
ant ant-optional ca-certificates-java fontconfig-config fonts-dejavu-core java-common libavahi-client3
libavahi-common-data libavahi-common3 libcups2 libfontconfig1 libjpeg-turbo8 libjpeg8 liblcms2-2
libnspr4 libnss3 libnss3-nssdb libpcsclite1 libxi6 libxrender1 libxtst6 openjdk-8-jdk-headless
openjdk-8-jre-headless x11-common

> The Apache (incubator) NetBeans project is trying to build a convenience binary package
using Snapcraft. In order to be able to do that we need a Jenkins node with Ubuntu (Xenial
preferred) where Snapcraft is available, probably along with some other packages.
> My question is how could we make this happen? I'm quite new in ASF, so please guide us
what options we have and what is required from our side.
> Thank you in advance!
