-----------------------------------------------------------------

OK, fixed.

git svn wants the authors.txt lines definitions to be complete. I changed the first line as

(no author) = No Author <dev-null@apache.org>

as soon as the problem with authors.txt was fixed the import started and went on for a quite
a long time and then it stopped printing messages. In fact the procedure hanged and it was
waiting for input because when I hit the enter key the script printed the following error
message

#<Thread:0x000055ddf3375100@/usr/lib/ruby/vendor_ruby/svn2git/migration.rb:431 run>
terminated with exception (report_on_exception is true):
Traceback (most recent call last):
	2: from /usr/lib/ruby/vendor_ruby/svn2git/migration.rb:432:in `block (2 levels) in run_command'
	1: from /usr/lib/ruby/vendor_ruby/svn2git/migration.rb:432:in `loop'
/usr/lib/ruby/vendor_ruby/svn2git/migration.rb:438:in `block (3 levels) in run_command': undefined
local variable or method `stdin' for #<Svn2Git::Migration:0x000055ddf33076a0> (NameError)
Did you mean? String

which might be a bug in the script. It seems to me a wrong reference to stdin caused the indefinite
wait for input from the keyboard. I'm going to file a ticket on svn2git but I think it's time
to look for something different for me
