Subject [jira] [Created] (INFRA-16478) Jenkins pending queue keeps drained for no reason
Date Thu, 03 May 2018 21:41:00 GMT
Vihang Karajgaonkar created INFRA-16478:
-------------------------------------------

Summary: Jenkins pending queue keeps drained for no reason
                 Key: INFRA-16478
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-16478
             Project: Infrastructure
          Issue Type: Task
          Components: Jenkins
            Reporter: Vihang Karajgaonkar

The precommit jobs of Hive get lined up on the https://builds.apache.org/job/PreCommit-HIVE-Build/
jenkins server. Most of times there are a lot of builds in the pending state partly because
the job execution takes a very long time. We are often seeing situations when the job don't
run on some patches (when we have confirmed that it was in the pending queue earlier). The
only explanation that we have is that jenkins server is restarted and we lose the queue. Can
you please confirm if this jenkins server hosting this job was restarted in last few days?
How can we find this information?
