Udo Schnurpfeil edited comment on INFRA-13743 at 2/28/18 4:43 PM:
------------------------------------------------------------------

It's not implemented yet, but I think it will work.
Like so: Writing an update Script for the Tomcat instances which are using snapshots (they
get the current SNAPSHOT from the repo).
This script can be called once a day by cron.
I think it simple and stupid.

For me, we can close this issue.

> As discussed with [~cml] in INFRA-13538:
> It would be great to have the opportunity to trigger a deployment from a Jenkins job
on a VM (in our case tobago-vm.apache.org). E.g. using this plugin: https://wiki.jenkins-ci.org/display/JENKINS/Publish+Over+SSH+Plugin
> It's not necessary to copy the artifact, we just need to trigger a command somehow (and
then download from Nexus and do the deployment).
