Subject [jira] [Commented] (INFRA-15815) Maven build can't find SNAPSHOT parent pom on
Date Mon, 22 Jan 2018 10:11:00 GMT

Robert Munteanu commented on INFRA-15815:

We very rarely use SNAPSHOT versions of the parent pom. We did this time especially to see
the effect of the new version on Jenkins, so there is no workaround for it.

We do have a Jenkins job deploying the latest SNAPSHOT parent POM on,
but the slaves it runs on is not something we can control. And I guess that explains the random
nature of the failure - on slaves where this build previously ran the build passes.

So IMO it's either the settings.xml files are updated on all slaves or this becomes a WONTFIX.
For the record, we've released the parent pom [1] so the issue should not appear anymore,
but this may surface anytime someone references a SNAPSHOT parent pom.
