Subject [jira] [Resolved] (INFRA-15578) Create crail.apache.org domain
Date Wed, 29 Nov 2017 14:29:00 GMT

Daniel Gruno resolved INFRA-15578.
----------------------------------
    Resolution: Fixed

DNS entry created. I would suggest the incubator adds to their documentation that a DNS entry
must be requested as part of a podling setup. Infra does not monitor which new podlings are
set up, so the request must come from the IPMC.

> Create crail.apache.org domain

> Key: INFRA-15578
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-15578
> Project: Infrastructure
> Issue Type: Task

> The crail mailing lists are not working properly during subscription, it seems that e-mails
are only being routed to @crail.incubator.apache.org but the list configuration keep sending
info (e.g. e-mail confirmation) using @crail.apache.org which fails as the domain is not available.

> [~humbedooh] suggested creating a JIRA for creating the domain, but I really think that
there are other issues here on our tools, either the tool that created crail.incubator.apache.org
should have created crail.apache.org or the mailing list creation tool should recognize that
this is for a podling and use @crail.incubator.apache.org. Also, when e-mails get sent to
the list, reply to is also being set with the wrong e-mail domain.
