Subject [jira] [Created] (INFRA-15513) download.cgi cannot find download.html when using .htaccess rewrite rules
Date Sat, 18 Nov 2017 12:04:00 GMT
Hervé Boutemy created INFRA-15513:
-------------------------------------

Summary: download.cgi cannot find download.html when using .htaccess rewrite
rules
                 Key: INFRA-15513
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-15513
             Project: Infrastructure
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: HTTP Server, Website
            Reporter: Hervé Boutemy

Maven uses http://www.apache.org/dev/release-download-pages.html#custom instruction with success
for Maven core download: http://maven.apache.org/download.cgi

But on each component download, this does not work: for example http://maven.apache.org/plugins/maven-jdeprscan-plugin/download.cgi

During my investigations, I found that the physical url works http://maven.apache.org/components/plugins/maven-jdeprscan-plugin/download.cgi

But it seems the script is confused by rewrite rules in .htaccess that hides this physical
url to the wanted user-visible url, ie http://maven.apache.org/plugins/maven-jdeprscan-plugin/download.cgi

Is there some special feature in the /dyn/mirrors/mirrors.cgi script we could use to match
our site setup?
