Subject [jira] [Resolved] (INFRA-15182) PHP or CGI scripts support for Apache Ignite site
Date Thu, 12 Oct 2017 07:47:00 GMT

Greg Stein resolved INFRA-15182.

Just generate that file during your release process, and commit it to your website's version
control. Every other project does that: generate static pages. I see no reason for the page
to be dynamic.

Regarding Google Analytics and Apache Ignite "calling home" ... from a policy standpoint,
that is very shaky ground for a Foundation project. We should not be tracking such things
about our users. Knowing the IP addresses of who may be running an Ignite server is none of
our business. As such, the Infra team is going to be very reluctant to provide assistance
with such data collection.
