Daniel Takamori commented on INFRA-14335:
-----------------------------------------

Once a member of the PMC submits an mlreq https://infra.apache.org/officers/mlreq we can make
the new list and then switch over.

> Hello,
> The kafka dev mailing list (dev@kafka.apache.org) is receiving too many event notifications
today from JIRA since all the events are being notified on this `Single Email Address (dev@kafka.apache.org)`.
> The Kafka community has gone through some discussions about this (https://www.mail-archive.com/dev@kafka.apache.org/msg75394.html)
and proposed to:
> 1) remove `Single Email Address (dev@kafka.apache.org)` for all events EXCEPT "Issue
Created", "Issue Resolved" and "Issue Reopened"; watchers / assignee / reporter will still
be notified.
> 2) set up a new mailing list named "jira@kafka.apache.org" that is set to be notified
on all events from JIRA.
> It seems Kafka PMC members cannot set it in the JIRA admin board, so I'm creating this
JIRA to get help from the infra team.
