Subject [jira] [Created] (INFRA-13749) Release bits cannot upload to SVN successfully
Date Sat, 25 Mar 2017 01:01:35 GMT
Junping Du created INFRA-13749:

Summary: Release bits cannot upload to SVN successfully
                 Key: INFRA-13749
             Project: Infrastructure
          Issue Type: Project
          Components: Subversion
            Reporter: Junping Du
            Priority: Blocker

I am Hadoop PMC and release manager of Apache Hadoop 2.8.0. In my upload 2.8.0 release bit
to svn, I meet problem in uploading one file - hadoop-2.8.0.tar.gz :
jduMBP:hadoop-dist jdu$ svn ci -m "Adding the missing bits for release ${version}."
Adding (bin) hadoop-2.8.0/hadoop-2.8.0.tar.gz
Transmitting file data .svn: E175002: Commit failed (details follow):
svn: E175002: PUT request on '/repos/dist/!svn/txr/18902-g1s/release/hadoop/common/hadoop-2.8.0/hadoop-2.8.0.tar.gz'
{no format}
Other file in the same directory can get uploaded successfully, but only this file get failed.
The only special for this file is its size is about 400+M:
jduMBP:hadoop-dist jdu$ ls -al hadoop-2.8.0/hadoop-2.8.0.tar.gz
-rw-r--r-- 1 jdu staff 429928937 Mar 17 01:45 hadoop-2.8.0/hadoop-2.8.0.tar.gz
Is there any limitation on adding 400M size tar ball to SVN? Please help to look at this issue
soon as our release effort get blocked by this.
