Subject [jira] [Commented] (INFRA-13716) Migrate CMS backend from SVN to Git for JSPWiki
Date Sat, 25 Mar 2017 16:36:41 GMT

Juan Pablo Santos Rodríguez commented on INFRA-13716:

Hi Gavin,

my misunderstading, as says
that hooking into GitPubSub is just like hooking into SvnPubSub, I jumped to the conclusion
that the CMS could handle both backends.

In any case, we already have a working solution so we could switch from CMS to a gitpubsub
based site on the asf-site branch of
but we're discussing if we move away from CMS or not. Please allow us a few days before proceeding
with this one, I suppose we could tell you something by next wednesday/thursday?

In the meantime, a couple of questions about gitpubsub sites:
* our idea is to have a bash script to push changes on the site from jenkins. We would need
maven 3.1.1 or greater + Java 7 or greater to build the site, is it ok to assume that jenkins
slaves labeled with "git-websites" will have this tools in installed and on path (so we could
make mvn clean whatever)?
* is it mandatory that the website is stored under a "content" folder on the asf-site branch?
I recall reading it somewhere but can't find it right now..
