Subject [jira] [Commented] (INFRA-13644) path added to extpaths.txt still taken into account in publish diffs
Date Mon, 13 Mar 2017 17:21:41 GMT

Stefan Seifert commented on INFRA-13644:

the problem is currently only the "noisy" output in the publish diff view - making this diff
view as last "safety check" before publishing a bunch of changes quite useless. besides this
the path exclusion works as expected.

the same problem exists for the apache felix project (which is no surprise because we "copied"
the approach from them). i have no insight in the other projects - but i just called the URL and the problem seems to be the same there (and
it takes _very_ long to open this link - i waited ~30 minutes for completion and then got
an HTTP error).

> An extpaths.txt file was added to the Sling content source tree [1] recently.
> The site diffs shown on the site publishing page [2] now report the deletion of lots
of files under that path, which makes it hard to understand what actually changed.
> Do we have something wrong in our site setup, or is that a CMS bug? And in the latter
case is there another way to get reliable diffs before publishing changes?
