Subject [jira] [Updated] (INFRA-13567) Add 2 new Jenkins slaves for Apache Cassandra
Date Thu, 23 Mar 2017 17:25:41 GMT

     [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-13567?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:all-tabpanel
]

Michael Shuler updated INFRA-13567:
-----------------------------------
    Status: Waiting for Infra (was: Closed)

cassandra6 and cassandra7 do not have correct hostname configurations and as a result, tests
are failing, since the local hostname cannot be resolved properly.

It looks like just /etc/hostname was edited with the FQDN, which is not correct, that file
should only be the short hostname, and the FQDN goes in /etc/hosts. As an example, cassandra1-5
are set up correctly and can resolve their own names - cassandra6,7 are at the end of the
list:

> Add 2 new Jenkins slaves for Apache Cassandra

> These are larger slaves (32G RAM) at online.net. I've prepped them with the 'jenkins'
user and ssh pub key, as per the new node-hosting doc. These servers will need to be set up
in puppet, same as we did in INFRA-12823.
> I just need to know if I should set them up the same ssh pub key for a sudo user (or
pono's key from the ticket above) and I think you should be good to go on adding to puppet.
> Thanks!
